6 Easy Ways To Spoil Your Cat

By December 14, 2020 Uncategorized
Cats are known for being easy to care for. However, they do need more than food, veterinary care, and a litterbox to truly thrive. Fortunately, it’s not hard at all to spoil your feline pal. Here, a Litchfield Park, AZ vet lists some easy ways to keep Fluffy’s little motor going.

Daily Playtime

Playing is obviously lots of fun for kitties, but did you know that it’s also very good for them? Even a few minutes of jumping and pouncing will give Fluffy a great kitty workout. Playing also offers your pet beneficial mental stimulation. Cats have to focus to land those tricky pounces. That concentration is great for them mentally! Try to play with your feline buddy every night.

Stimulation

Cats are known for being curious. Fluffy loves to investigate little nooks and crannies. Make your home fun for your furball by giving her things to check out. Boxes, paper grocery bags, and newspaper tunnels will all help keep your furry little explorer entertained. You can also set out some pet-safe plants for your feline friend to nibble on. Check the ASPCA site here for suggestions.

Keep Fluffy In

Speaking of exploring, we strongly recommend keeping cats indoors. Fluffy will be both safer and healthier if she is protected from things like weather, cars, and other kitties!

Purrniture

Kitties certainly have a knack for making themselves comfortable, and they don’t mind using our beds, sofa, and couches. However, it’s good for cats to have some things that suit their needs. Cat towers are great ‘multipurrpose’ pieces, as they provide kitties with scratching posts, jungle gyms, and nail-care stations. Fluffy will also appreciate having lots of comfy beds. You just can’t have too many napping spots!

Live Entertainment

Fluffy will need something to do in between her 36 daily naps. One thing you can do is give your cute pet a comfy window seat, preferably with a view of birds or squirrels. Just make sure your windows close securely!

Cuddles

Cats have tried very hard to make us think of them as cold and aloof, but we’re not buying it. These little furballs get extremely attached to their humans! Pay lots of attention to Fluffy, and spend time with her every day.
